Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician is responsible to assist OR nursing / Surgical Technologists, and CSPD staff in providing patient care and non patient care duties in their assigned areas.
Responsible for providing assistance in the Main OR. Perform a variety of duties to include; transport : transports patients from various parts of the hospital to the surgery area.
Assists with the transferring and positioning of patients within the O.R. OR Room Turnover : Cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas in the operating room to maintain an aseptic environment and to prevent healthcare-associated infection, using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals through the daily cleaning and preparation of operating rooms between cases.
May perform other duties as assigned
Education and / or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience in the medical field such as a CNA / Patient Care technician or surgical processing is preferred.
- On the job training provided.
- This position requires you to be 16 years of age or older.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, wknd / hol / call as needed; 80hrs / 2wks
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$17.50 - $23.00 per hour
