Job Summary

• The Patient Care Technician is accountable for performing duties concerning direct and indirect patient care as assigned.
• Coordinates non-clinical activities of the patient care unit, transcribes physician orders, performs receptionist / secretarial duties and maintains the medical record of all patients on the assigned unit.

Education and / or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree preferred.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• No experience required.
• Health Care and Medical Terminology Experience preferred.
• Clerical and Computer Experience preferred.

Basic Life Support certification is mandatory within six months of entering into this position.

Work Schedule

Night shift hours, every third weekend, every third holiday, occasional call; 12 hours every 2 weeks

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$17.50 - $23.00 per hour
