Job Summary
- The Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties.
- Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure / instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.
Education and / or Experience
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two year-college program or technical school.
- Six months to one year of related experience or training preferred.
Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.
Work Schedule
- Weekdays : Monday - Friday from 1 : 00 pm - 9 : 30 pm; Rotate every 3rd weekend / holiday
- Weekend Shift : 6 : 00 pm - 6 : 30 am
- 72hrs / 2wks
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$22.00 - $31.75 per hour
