Join Avera as a Pharmacy Technician and support the improvement of patient outcomes.

The schedule for this position is PRN which means the hours you will be working will be determined in partnership with the Pharmacy Leadership team to best meet the needs of patients and the department while providing flexibility to the employee. 

 

Position Highlights:

  • Work directly with patients to provide services in a compassionate manner. 
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team.

 Job Summary

To assist in drug preparation, drug storage, drug distribution, drug inventory, and required record keeping under the supervision of a Pharmacist.  To include aseptically compounding parenteral admixtures.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Vocational Technical program preferred. 

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
  • Registration with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days of employment.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.  

  • $18.50 – $25.75 per hour
