What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist position at Avera?
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Radiology Technologist is responsible to operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic images as directed by physicians and perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
THE FOLLOWING ARE CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THE POSITION OF RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST:
Schedule Pattern:
- Varying day shifts
- Routinely will work 8 hours shifts however this may vary due to work volume.
- Weekend, holiday and call involvement.
Education, Certification, and/or License:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program,
- BLS is required within six months of employment.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
