What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN–Clinical Support Supervisor position at Avera?
JOB SUMMARY: The Quality/Infection Control Supervisor is responsible for providing a tactical quality plan to include survey compliance, quality initiatives, infection control plan and QAPI processes. Will work closely with Director of Nursing on performance improvement projects for Avera Prince of Peace. The Supervisor will also be responsible for the campus infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs for all areas and departments. The Supervisor will oversee the education department at Prince of Peace including Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medication Assistant certification programs as well and annual regulatory education.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include developing quality processes, monitoring quality metrics, infection control initiatives, interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.
