Summary :
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for a leading defense contractor located in Moses Lake, WA! This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for safeguarding employee health and safety!
Role and Responsibilities :
- Monitors health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels
- Creates and implements policies and programs around employee health, safety, and compliance
- Tracking and maintaining documentation of training records, manuals / handbooks, incidents and accident reports
- Stays up to date and communicates government and industry regulations and laws
- Communicates evacuation plans
- Ensures all facilities / vehicles / equipment are inspected regularly and in compliance with code and regulations
Essential Qualifications :
- Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree in EHS or related field preferred
- 2 years related experience
- Computer proficiency-MS Office experience required
- CSP Certification preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, EHS regulations & ISO14001 and 45001 and capable of leading regulatory audits preferred
- Experience with Operational Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHS) preferred
