Job Description
- Responsible for receiving, recording, issuing, and transporting the goods and supplies from the warehouse.
- Assists in the preparation of all products for shipment in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Ensures that all documentation relating to shipments are processed in a timely manner.
- Works on both routine and none-routine and somewhat complex assignments following SOP’s.
- Receipt of all goods delivered to the warehouse. Ensures that related documentation for this activity is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with approved procedures.
- Deals with requisitions from production
- Reports variance or deviation from Standard Operating Procedures to Supervisor
- Maintains warehouse areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
- Monitor/Maintain Finished Goods Stocks in good order: As well as the physical inventories, weekly cycle counts are required to monitor stock levels, damage etc.
- Complies with all safety related procedures.
- Any other activities as requested by Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience within a Warehousing environment is essential – only candidates with good manufacturing experience will be considered.
- Counter Balance Forklift Licence – Experience required
- Manual handling desirable
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and experience of utilising a Computer based inventory system preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work on one's own initiative and/or as part of a team
- Adaptable and open to change.
- Current clean driving licence
