Experience in solar installation is required, and willingness to travel for out of town projects is always a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead solar crew with layout and assembly of solar panels and racking hardware
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Properly repair and seal roof penetration
- Perform maintenance on the solar system as needed
- Prepare inventory for installs and document completion of installation
- Work well within a team environment
- Project clean up
- Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
QUALIFICATIONS
- Solar or Construction experience is required
- Excellent leadership skills
- Must be able to routinely lift 50lbs
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: heat, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and be able to work on your feet for long periods of time
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal check, MVR and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to work with power tools
- Must follow all safety policies and standards for working
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Working knowledge and ability to interpret and apply 2020 NEC requirements to PV systems
- Experience reading and interpreting one-line drawings and electrical schematics
- Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential and commercial electrical services and distribution panels
- Must be able to work with high voltage systems 600Vdc to 1500Vdc
- Must be able to work with services 240Vac, 208Vac, and 480Vac in single and three-phase systems (and other variations)
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces)
