WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Director of Sales Operations will act as the team lead for the Global Sales Operations. This role is responsible to drive profitable and sustainable growth by enabling Sales team efficiency and effectiveness. Under general direction, supports strategic platforms related to Commercial Excellence and associated sales and sales operations functions within the AVI-SPL Operating System across the company.
Leads the development, deployment and execution of sales performance improvement initiatives. Builds a collaborative leadership team for sales and sales support optimization including process, tools, talent and rewards.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic program leadership and team coordination of Sales Operations improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, LOB and field leadership to support the development of the global AOP booking plan with a focus on global alignment and LOB planning process improvements.
- Develop formal vertical market and local market planning processes starting with identifying existing addressable market opportunities and future growth platforms. Lead the deployment team in the annual planning process. Assist LOB and Strategic leadership teams in the creation and implementation of strategic and annual sales plans. Develops programs to aid sales strategies and growth programs as required.
- Provide Integration leadership for the Sales function for all company acquisitions.
- Process owner for the AVI-SPL Operating System for Sales. Delivers programs that lead to sales success for booked margin growth year-over-year. Actively seeks, captures, and makes available to the entire selling organization best practices and techniques that lead to profitable growth in market share across all channels.
- Leads the development of Sales & Sales Management capability KPIs to support corporate operations reviews with committed methods and metrics that gauge the health of sales force effectiveness. Drives sales performance productivity across the enterprise to established standards. Oversees metrics to ensure productivity levels are achieved.
- Facilitate partnering with HR and IT on talent management requirements (e.g. aligned process, tools and systems).
- Supports all aspects of the AVI-SPL Commercial Operating System for world class sales and marketing excellence including sales models and supporting tool sets. These models and tools will allow AVI-SPL to be known as ‘one of the best companies to sell for’ and the “easiest company to do business with” in the industries we serve.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, engineering, marketing, or equivalent experience. MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 10 years’ experience in a Sales Operations Function and related CRM or similar database systems experience. com and Microsoft Power BI certifications and experience a plus.
- 5 years’ experience managing large complex sales and integrated technical and financial solutions.
- Familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology and process to leverage for maximum effectiveness.
- Demonstrated organizational credibility in achievement delivering results and leading people over an extended period.
- Strong planning, financial and analytical skills, with proven ability to apply these skills with business acumen to complex situations with competing priorities.
- Proven expertise in developing and utilizing a management operating system to drive sales performance.
- Proven ability to collaborate and effectively manage cross-functional teams charged with launching new products and diverse sales initiatives.
- Ability to challenge convention and advance best-in-class commercial sales models.
- Strong consulting skills. Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders to understand needs and deliver solutions that meet expectations.
- Strong research, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused.
- Demonstrated ability to write well, edit effectively and present complex issues and projects succinctly, logically, and persuasively.

- Travel requirement – up to 25%.
