Job Summary
The Installation Supervisor is responsible for mentoring and supervising the office installation workforce. This position will support the Operations/Installation Manager and serve as a field change agent to help improve overall communication and project execution and efficiency with Installation Technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support all types of technical escalations from the field team and work with other team members on resolutions as needed- Conduct quality control visits during and post installation/commissioning and report findings to project team and management
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys as needed
- Coordinate and manage external activities including all out-sourced or sub-contract work in support of project installation activities
- Acquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives including, but not limited to: contractual, technical, schedule, construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scope of work
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, process improvement initiatives
- Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Travel to various job sites
- Mentor and coach Installation Technicians through their designated learning development plans
- Other duties assigned as needed

- Ability to manage small to medium projects
- Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshooting
- Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with construction or project management theory and practices preferred
- Familiarity with AV or other electro – mechanical systems a plus
- Extensive experience developing and implementing business processes and streamlining operations
- Experience with planning, implementing and managing the activities of an installation workforce through recruiting, training, scheduling and best practices techniques
- Current OSHA 30 certification
