Description:
Aviation Power Support LP is looking for quality control inspector to join our quality control team. In this role, you’ll play a role in ensuring that all products meet established requirement for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards. Personnel performing inspection functions may report directly or indirectly to the Chief Inspector or an assigned lead and are responsible for performing duties as directed and assigned.
Duties:
Inspector(s) are specifically responsible for-
- Performing preliminary, receiving, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections on aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturer’s instructions, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
- Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility.
- Maintaining proficiency in using the inspection aids in their assigned area of responsibility.
- Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used to perform inspections are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.
- Understanding the current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the article(s) being inspected.
- Ensure all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are properly executed before final approval for return to service of articles maintained or altered by this repair station.

Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to fluently read, write and understand English.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices.
- 18 months of aviation maintenance experience preferred.
- Valid Airframe and Power-Plant (A&P) certificate or have previously held a repairman certificate with verifiable experience commensurate with the above listed job duties will be given greater consideration.
- Serious attention to detail.
- Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, and various calipers and micrometers.
- Basic computer skills (word processor, spreadsheet).
- NDT skills and certifications helpful.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
