CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures adherence to SOP's, GMP & ISO policies and support quality expectations. Organizes and plans workflow with Buyer/Planner Scheduler and warehouse personnel to enhance productivity, promote efficiency, and maintains machine schedules that meet internal and external needs; prepares and post schedules. Assigns, instructs, directs, trains and assists employees to support production operation within established work week. Supports teams and participates in team meetings. Reviews production procedures and system reports to ensure all data input and records and reports are accurate. Maintains time and attendance of all production employees and ensures staffing is adequate and within established guidelines. Identifies, communicates, and assists in the resolution of material shortages, variances, and production downtime. Evaluates and identifies sources of scrap and rework and participates in implementation of countermeasures for causes. Investigates and initiates corrective action for customer complaints for all production non-conformances. Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Prepares administrative paperwork and returns to appropriate departments in a timely manner. Supports engineering projects and changes and ensure all employees are properly trained in current process. Ensures rework is organized and executed according to established criteria. Promotes and ensures productive communication between team members, shifts, maintenance, engineering and management. Ensures teammates are aware of their performance, documents incidents related to performance and performs formal appraisals at appropriate intervals. Trains and develops teammates. Manages several team auditors who lead the Production Departments: responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Production Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; completes performance appraisals for team; rewards and disciplines teammates; addresses complaints and resolves problems for teammates. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs additional duties as directed. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university 3 years supervisory experience; 5 years’ experience in a team-based production environment, preferably assembly manufacturing KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments. Develops workable implementation plans; communicates changes effectively; builds commitment and overcomes resistance; prepares and supports those affected by change; monitors transition and evaluates results. Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well; accountable for behaviors and their impact on others; effectively influences actions and opinions of others; accepts feedback from others; gives appropriate recognition to others.
