POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of operations to assist quality of each raw material within order/batch that is made. Production under supervision of Production Supervisor, and or Shift Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Tasks:
- Operate a variety of weighing equipment; i.e., gram scales and pound sales
- Ensure proper amount of material is add per batch specifications and lot used
- Work from Bill of Material/Pick lists
- Perform a variety of operations; gather raw materials and complete daily 5S requirements
- Utilize stand-up and sit down fork trucks
- Log shop order though the computer system for tracking
Occupational and process safety, environmental protection
- Comply with all safety related rules and policies
- Actively contribute towards identifying risks and suggest actions to reduce risks
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in 5S improvements
- Participate in Performance Dialogue and other teamwork activities
- Contributes to other process improvement projects as needed
- Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned
- Cross Train in other departments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine correspondence
