Job Summary
We are recruiting a full-time Inside Sales Representative for our client in Owatonna, MN. This is a direct hire opportunity that provides great benefits including a 401k match, a small team feel and a cohesive family run environment. The Inside Sales Representative will provide outstanding customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding their diverse product offering and services. A successful candidate will have a willing to learn attitude with the drive to be successful. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing customers with best-in-class service that builds lasting relationships, resolves issues, and increases overall trust and satisfaction with products and services.
- Pay: starting at $18.50/hr. and up based on experience

Responsibilities
- Develop new and build existing customer relationships, ensuring a continued level of excellence within the entire sales process, including order taking, customer follow-up, helping customers. with pricing, customer expedites, shipment tracking, and order entry.
- Continually maintain working knowledge of all company products, capabilities, and promotions.
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
- Manage time effectively, meeting personal and department goals and work in collaboration with other members of the team.
- Manage customer service-related activities, including customer escalations/complaint resolution, by working closely with Quality, Operations and Credit teams.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional Customer Service skills and proven ability to perform in an unpredictable, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills including strong phone etiquette skills, verbal communications, grammatical and professional business skill sets.
- Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
- Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
- Advanced computer skills with experience with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn new systems.
Education/Certification
- Associate degree in related area; or High School degree with 2 years’ experience in an office setting.
- 2 or more years of experience in customer service or sales experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area (preferred).
- CRM experience a plus.
