Optics Assembly Technician (Day) Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $30/hr
- Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Santa Clara, CA 95054 - Onsite)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment
Optics Assembly Technician (Day) Responsibilities:
- Work in class 100/1000 cleanroom align laser systems using concepts of auto reflection and interferometry.
- Perform epoxy-based assembly processes to create complex opto-mechanical assemblies.
- Use mechanical and/or optical measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, autocollimators, and/or related test equipment.
- Use of computer-automated test systems and entering results.
- Use of hand tools and mechanical fixturing for mechanical assembly.
- Perform cleaning of optical components and assemblies using approved solvents.
- Coordinate with the production flow and come up with a schedule to optimize the workflow.
- Track daily schedules and provide updates to the team.
- Works closely as a team with technicians and engineers.
- Communicate with the team about the production shipment, verifying data from the production floor.
- Collect and store data and ensure the quality and accuracy of data on the final report.
- Helping the team get consumable weekly.
- Inspect any defects and discrepancies that might compromise the operations.
Optics Assembly Technician (Day) Qualifications:
- Experience with manufacturing processing and understanding the production line well.
- Experience with making decisions and time management, ability to communicate clearly to support the production line.
- Knowledge of quality control techniques and familiarity with safety standards. Experience in planning schedules, making decisions, and time management.
- Excellent in organization skills and flexibility in prioritizing the schedule.
- Familiar working with optical components like lenses, mirrors, and prisms.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.
- Skilled in Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Can read and follow written and verbal English work instructions and communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Intermediate mathematical skills including the use of basic math and geometry.
- Adequate visual acuity to perform visual inspection of optical surfaces i.e., color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
Optics Assembly Technician (Day) Shift:
- Monday - Friday 6:00am - 02:30 pm
