The Purchase to Pay (P2P) Manager is the primary owner of the end-to-end P2P process with the overall goal of delivering P2P services while ensuring quality and cost efficiency. As a member of the Procurement team, this position plays a meaningful role in building the capability and standards of the P2P function and will support its development and sustainability by ensuring service delivery excellence. What you'll do: Responsible for P2P process and departmental functions such as: supplier registration, requisition/purchase order transaction processing, purchasing card (pcard) processes, invoice processing, handling vendor and staff queries, related management reporting, and corresponding internal controls Work closely with users at all levels to find opportunities for improvement and promote adherence to approved processes/policies Closely work with sourcing team and effectively lead the Requisition and PO compliance process Be the key contact person for the Financial Operations, Tax and Procurement departments, ensuring questions are addressed and new information is shared in a timely fashion Collaborate with AP to ensure all payments are integrated into Accounts Payable and processed through the system having adhered to the Purchase to Pay process Participate and Lead in cross-functional process and system improvement initiatives Collaborate with Financial Operations to ensure the maintenance of a strong Controls environment Accountable for controls found in the P&O standard related to P2P Participate in any/all P2P policy changes/amendments improvements in the P&O Standard working closely with Procurement governance team Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports as required Support and coordinate remote activities performed in regional offices in different time zones Actively engage with cost centre owners and end-users to ensure a positive user experience Keep abreast of industry trends, internal policy changes and internal feedback to ensure P2P processes are optimized and compliant Collaborate with Global P2P teams, outsourced support team, Canadian partners and suppliers to ensure smooth operation and continued optimization of P2P processes Maintain positive relationships with WNS leaders to ensure service levels are maintained/exceeded, and highlight issues when service issues arise Participate in Global Issues and Change calls, ensuring the needs of the Canadian business are addressed What you'll bring: 5-8 years experience implementing, operating and optimizing P2P systems and processes Experience with Ariba P2P and Oracle expense systems Proven experience in managing customer expectations Experience working in a Shared Service environment Excellent relationship builder and communicator with shown leadership and motivation ability Project Management and Lean six sigma experience is an advantage Recognized subject matter expert for P2P Strong customer service approach Focus on more structural problem solving and quality improvement Working experience of procurement and AP workflows will be preferred Proven ability to embrace and lead change, be highly adaptable and flexible, decisive and display excellent judgment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) Strong consulting skill, ability to influence team members Effectively works within in a matrix and sophisticated environment.
