Quality Assurance Inspector/Auditor (10:00 am to 10:30 pm)

12 hour shifts

10 am to 10:30 pm Rotating Days, Including some weekends

Avon Plastics is a family-owned and operated company that has over 50 years of experience in the recycling and manufacturing of plastic products. Avon Plastics proudly manufactures Armadillo Decking, Grid Axcents Lattice, Master Mark Lawn & Garden Products, Quix Interlocking Tile, and TurboClip.

We are looking for a day shift Quality Assurance Auditor. This role is responsible for ensuring product meets specifications by performing daily surveillance inspections on product lines and performing quality assurance tests on products as required.

Tasks:

1. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.

2. Monitor, record and report material blends, machine run rates and machine output in all areas of the facility.

3. Perform visual inspections of finished products and give feedback as required.

4. Calibrate, validate, and maintain laboratory equipment.

5. Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.

6. Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.

7. Identify and report quality problems and recommend solutions.

8. Train other analysts to perform laboratory procedures and assays.

9. Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.

10. Collects and performs Break Tests on retention boards; enters data accurately.

11. Isolates all non-conforming product using the Hold Procedures in place by the Quality Department.

12. Instructs/Teaches production members how to package products according to the Packaging Sheets provided.

13. Create labels for products

14. Disburse labels to the lines as needed and while a line is being changed.

15. Treats all Company property respectfully.

Knowledge:

• Mathematics - arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
• English Language - knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Computers and Electronics - computer hardware and software; including applications.
• Production and Processing - raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
