Job Title: MRO Buyer - Respiratory

Location: Cadillac, MI

Purpose of Position:

The purpose of this position is to hire an MRO Buyer to support Cadillac Operations and support Respiratory Sourcing requirements with focus on strategic continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential duties and/or Functions:

Purchasing Functions -

Manage and perform all purchasing functions for indirect procurement (limited production procurement) and services including major subcontracts, sourcing and delivery concerns, purchase order/requisition execution and reconciliation requirements per Avon purchasing policies.

Focal Point/Propulsion/Benchmarking-

Focus on strategy MRO planning by managing site spend and supplier negotiations with alignment through synergies across Global sites (where applicable) and meet productivity improvement targets. Collaborating with each value stream or supporting department to streamline best practices and improvement initiatives.

Supplier Management-

Maintain current/new and accurate vendor/supplier documentation and contractual data in line with Avon policies. Support supplier performance communications and improvement activities.
Support supply chain activities that involve global sustainability initiatives and environmental carbon footprint objectives.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma, some college or professional training preferred (APICS)
Minimum 2 - 4 years' experience in maintenance, production and engineering regarding purchasing indirect supplies, services, and contract negotiations.
Capability to work independently.
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Organized individual that possesses strategic and tactical skills in a demanding environment
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Knowledge of computer software applications
Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time.
Ability to travel 5% of the time, as required.

Preferred/Desired Skills or Experiences:

Negotiation skills preferred
Level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
