Job Title: Purchasing Agent
Location: Cleveland

Purpose of Position:
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing and procuring production materials and MRO supplies. Their duties include placing orders, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, managing administrative tasks related to procurement, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure an adequate stock of materials necessary for maintaining operations.
The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. They should also have the ability to multitask effectively and possess analytical skills to monitor inventory levels and make informed Purchasing decisions.
Essential duties and/or Functions:
- Prepare purchase orders for the appropriate approvals for raw materials and other supplies in accordance with requisitions, production schedules, shortage reports and guidance form Planner Buyer
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers
- Monitor and expedite deliveries as needed.
- Monitor incoming delivery schedules / flagging late deliveries for action.
- Maintain appropriate purchasing records.
- Provide routine administrative support Purchasing Manager
- Other purchasing related activities as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree or relevant professional certification is a plus)
- 3 years' experience in a purchasing related role in a manufacturing environment including experience with ERP.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Excellent organizational / time management skills and ability to multi-task
Preferred/Desired Skills or Experiences:
- Associate degree or relevant professional certification (CPSM, CPSD, CPM, CPIM... etc.)

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $58,000.00 to $72,000.00 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
