About the Opportunity :

• Job Title : Machine Operator Set-Up and Run
• Pay : $20.30 / Hour
• Location : Minneapolis, MN
• Schedule : 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri 3 : 30PM-12AM. Training is completed on 1st Shift, M-F 7am-3 : 30pm then will be moved to 2nd shift once trained.

Some weekend O / T may be required.

Daily functions :

• Set-up and operate punch presses and support equipment.
• Consistently set up all presses 60 tons and above.
• Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions.
• Read and understand blueprints, routing sheets and / or work instructions to determine specifications.
• Measure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications.
• Maintain production efficiencies of 80% of greater once trained.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating and setting up punch presses required.
• Understand tolerances such as / - .005.
• Read, understand, and follow all policies, processes, and procedures.
• Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communications.
• Proficient with basic computer skills.
• Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer.
• Experience in the metal stamping industry.
• One (1) years of manufacturing experience.

Physical requirements :

• Lifting 50lbs.
• Standing for long durations of time.
• Use hands and fingers to operate hand tools.
• Loud environment
