Mold Maker’s in New Brighton, MN | $72K to $91K/Hour DOE
Our Mold Maker’s workweek is Monday to Friday with hours starting at 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm, flexible scheduling options are available. This job is a Skilled Industrial type position that that pays $72K to $91K/Year DOE and is a Direct Hire opportunity.
Mold Maker Duties and Responsibilities –
- Safely build, restore, alter, and service top quality molds and related tooling in the most effective and efficient manner
- Operate all machines, manual and CNC, safely in order to build molds and related tooling
- Develop the proper sequence necessary to build molds most efficiently
- Identify problems when analyzing drawings and recommend alterations which would create a more cost-effective process
- Complete proper paperwork in order to track labor costs in the Tool Room
- Coordinate the use of outside services as is required for wire EDM, jig grind, etc.
- Train other Moldmakers by preparing the worker, demonstrating the operation, observing the worker perform the operation and following up
- Work with other Moldmakers on team projects
- Maintain clean machines, equipment, and organized work areas
- Responsibility to protect company confidential information and Intellectual Property
- Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Mold Maker Requirements and Qualifications –
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Minimum 18-month vocational diploma in Machining, Tool & Die, or Mold making preferred
- 2 years of experience in Mold Making minimum
- High School diploma or GED required
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions in the English language
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. when required
