Our Planner’s workweek is Monday to Friday with hours starting at 07:00 am until 04:00 pm This job is a Administrative type position that that pays $22.00/Hour and is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Planner Duties and Responsibilities –
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for work order management and preparing/monitoring the “Master Production Schedule” from quote, sales order, job creation, and final shipment of customer product.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Release jobs from Planning Workbench and appropriate documentation to kitting. Jobs will be released 4 hours after receipt on planning workbench.
Provide Sale Quoted product lead-times based on material availability, router, transportation, and capacity. Scheduler review will be completed 24 hours after last quote verification block is approved.
Once SOs are released, the scheduler performs another SO/Job review comparing quote accuracy with requested ship date. This review is done 4 hours after receipt of SO on Planning Workbench.
Coordinates Pull-in/Push-out requests, and Jobs-On Hold with Sales and Materials to provide customer feed-back on proposed revised requirements. Lead-time on such requests is 1 to 4 business days.
Work closely with Purchasing, Account Management, Production, Engineering, Materials and Administration departments to resolve day-to-day issues, achieve schedule objectives, and promote quality principles needed to achieve customer on-time delivery requirements.
Managing jobs in ERP system including adding/revising materials, adding production operations and setting up miscellaneous jobs as requested.
Reschedule jobs based on Sales requirements, available capacity, machine availability, and material status. Enter CR in Galaxy to maintain information stream.
Review short term and long term production capacity daily to establish workload requirements, capacity shortfalls, and assist with action plans to ensure production schedules are maintained.
Maintain the Galaxy change request information assigned to Scheduler Actions for proper actions related to schedule changes, communications, and audit of internal information.
Updates the production calendar in the ERP system weekly to ensure accurate capacity availability.
Executes Kanban schedule requirements and Managed Inventory Programs to guarantee inventory available per forecasted requirements.
Will take on additional tasks as required.
Planner Requirements and Qualifications –
High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, including presentation skills.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to multi task and prioritize both daily issues and longer-term projects.
Good analytical skills.
Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training in a related electronic manufacturing environment.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Vantage (ERP) software preferred.
Completion of a Visual Acuity Test and Color Blindness according to the Visual Acuity Testing Policy.
