AWG is looking for a PMO Lead in Information Technology to drive performance and best practices in transformative projects for the organization. This role will collaborate with leaders in the department to define and support project methodology, project cost tracking, and strategic plans for future initiatives. You will use your organization, critical thinking, and communication skills to support these initiatives and support the department and organization in all facets of project management. It is important you guide the organization in understanding the business outcomes, not just the tools and process used to achieve them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Governance (50%)
- Establish a centralized PMO and create a Center of Excellence for the organization promoting quality standards, cost consciousness, quantitative based performance metrics, and repeatable processes.
- Create standard communication practices in the IT department to deliver project information in a repeatable and understandable format.
- Define and evangelize the process and procedures to successfully implement solutions from idea to post implementation support.
- Liase with leaders across the entire organization to understand upcoming transformation needs and roadmap priorities.
- Provide leadership and vision regarding requirements, architecture diagrams, process flows and project understanding.
Prioritization and Delivery (25%)
- Collaborate with Project and organization leaders on focused solution delivery and prioritization.
- Continually monitor and develop timeline of in progress and upcoming projects.
- Develop a standardized information sharing process to provide insight into the entire project pipeline.
- Participate in RFP evaluations and contract conversations to understand expectations of solutions
Financial and Performance Management (25%)
- Participate in annual financial budgeting/planning processes, work with teams to estimate project costs and total cost of ownership for solutions.
- Partner with all departments in the organization to prepare benefit cases for future solutions.
- Ensure actual costs are recorded and tracked against budgeted amounts.
REQUIREMENTS –
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10 years of proven progressive performance in the management of information technology projects.
- Proven track record of process improvement related to governance, procedure and strategy for organizational enhancements and improvements.
- Excellent understanding of project financials and metrics related to software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to lead and influence without Organization Chart responsibility.
- Identifies and initiates action plans with limited guidance, self-prioritizes, drives to deliver on commitments without prompting and communicates ahead of deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time; occasional travel associated to support company needs and/or vendor relations

NICE TO HAVE/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS –
- Retail, wholesale, or Consumer Product Goods industry experience
- Professional services, consulting experience
- Proven solution delivery/service experience using Agile and ITIL methodologies, leveraging internal, external, and offshore skillset to optimize cost and support
- ITIL Certification and experience using it for IT Service Delivery
- PeopleSoft experience regarding project costing
- Experience with SaaS solutions
- PMP certification
