Maintenance Technician - IA-3276

AWI Management Corp. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain a 28 unit apartment community in Montague, CA. Experience in general building maintenance and landscape is preferred.

The position is Part-Time, 20 hours per week.

Starting pay is $20.00 - $23.00/hour DOE

Housing is available with this position - 3 bedroom apartment.

Requirements:

Valid CA Driver’s License

Reliable Transportation

Authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications / Skills:

Good communication skills

Computer literate (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)

Ability to positively interact with the general public, tenants, vendors, and corporate staff

Strong organizational skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

Experience with subsidized housing (HUD, Tax Credit, or RD) helpful

General building maintenance skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)

General grounds keeping skills

Ability to manage emergency situations

Professionalism

Listening

Responsibilities:

Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors

Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action items

Report violations of lease and house rules

Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met

Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies

Perform preventative maintenance duties

Maintaining excellent curb appeal

Follow policies and procedures
