Primary Responsibilities
The Global Product Manager will lead strategic vision and execution of the product strategy for Global Mobility. This role will work in close collaboration with sales, engineering, technology, product engineering, and executive management to drive success of product development from concept to completion.
- Drive the global product growth strategy using understanding of the product market segment, competitive environment, and strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Gain support and alignment on the product vision with all levels of the organization.
- Lead product portfolio optimization.
- Translate market opportunities and customer problems into clear product requirements.
- Utilize solid business acumen to execute good business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboratively campaign the new product development process working closely with sales and technology.
- Manage multiple priorities and evaluate business cases, including value-based pricing and revenue modeling.
- Translate business-to-technical requirements, and vice versa.
- Define and track overall team success metrics.
- Work collaboratively and influence effectively across cross-functional teams and regions
- Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate information within the organization through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business, engineering, chemistry, or other technical field. MBA preferred.
- 5 years relevant working experience in technical and/or commercial area in the coatings, chemical, automotive, or other industrial segment.
- Knowledge of OEM coatings is desired, including products, applications, chemistry, and customer processes.
- Should possess in-depth understanding of product life-cycle management.
- Demonstrated success in setting strategy and project management.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to lead culturally diverse global teams. Experience working within an international cross-functional team is preferred.
- Must be able to influence and work well in a matrixed environment.
- Results focused and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel 25% - 50%, both domestic and international.
