Operations Line Manager

• Directing and leading the team to work within a strong Safety Culture
• Managing a team performing production and ensuring production targets and metrics are met for the function.
• Team management and leadership tasks including staffing and training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and determining corrective actions when necessary.
• Management of the production and manufacturing processes that typically involve single or less complex product lines and ensuring resources and personnel are available and properly allocated to meet operational demand.
• Responding to employee and management questions and concerns, and monitoring product quality.
• Developing, analyzing, and reviewing a variety of operational reports within the functions to improve quality, efficiency, cycle times, and volumes, and implementing operational changes as required.
• Ensuring production schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met by you and your team.
• Ensuring compliance with Company and department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Working with site leadership team to review safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and other operational metrics. Implement department activities and solve operational problems.
• Assisting and coordinating general plant operations with shipping, scheduling, inventory management, and sales activities by reviewing reports and operations and other information as required or directed.
• Regularly review batch tickets or other production information, ensuring raw materials are correct.
• Monitor production instruments, equipment, and schedules to ensure product is processed according to specifications.

• Experience directing, leading and where needed, improving a strong safety focused culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management or other related fields.
• Five or more years of production experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, including at least two years of lead/supervisor experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to develop and analyze applicable production reports
• Strong leadership skills and experiences to draw on
• Experienced in change management
• Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency
• Flexible and adaptable to demanding and fast-paced work environment
