Description

Warehouse Operator

• Load / Unload freight using forklift, pallet-jack, carrying and lifting.
• Receive / unpack incoming product and inspect the quality / condition of the materials before accepting delivery.
• Move and stack materials on pallets.
• Unload and stage inbound freight.
• Transfer freight (raw materials & finished goods) between warehouses and storage locations.
• Inspect, label, and stock freight to its appropriate location.
• Secure proof of delivery (BOL, shipping documents) for all inbound deliveries.

Order Picking / Packing / Processing

• Sort outbound shipments according to daily processing schedule.
• Locate and pick material from warehouse storage bins, palletize order and affix proper shipping labels. Check order to ensure pick accuracy (material description, material ID, batch number).
• Utilize computer software to prepare shipping documents (shipping labels, packing list and BOL) and prepare freight for loading / shipping.
• Follow any special shipping instructions pertaining to an individual order.
• Shrink wrap completed orders with label and transfer completed orders to the loading dock staging area using pallet jack or forklift.

Warehouse Management

• Perform daily warehouse inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Participate in annual warehouse physical inventory count.
• Clean and maintain assigned warehouse areas.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
• Engage in problem solving to support continuous improvement

Industry Experience

Warehouse experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Technical Skills

SAP experience preferred.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Abilities / Knowledge

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Read, understand, and interpret work-orders, instructions, memos, and emails as related to assigned tasks.
