We have an opening for an Employee Relations Specialist to be remote, ideally in the PA or NJ market.

We are looking for a highly adaptive people coach who provides support to HR Business Partners and guidance to managers.

The role will be remote.

What you’ll do for Axia :

  • Provide specialist and expert guidance and counsel to managers on all employee relations issues, policy interpretation and questions including conduct, performance improvement plans, progressive discipline, terminations, and conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and employee complaints in alignment with applicable law.
  • Conduct thorough, fair internal investigations, and maintain detailed documentation and tracking of all cases.
  • Ensure application of company policies and procedures in a consistent and equitable manner
  • Manage Reasonable Accommodation process, working with management, employees, and HR Business Partners
  • Conducts exit interviews for key roles, tracks, and reports on key trends
  • Support HR Business Partners in all relevant talent management programs such as performance, merit, and engagement.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement for the HRBP Team by documenting processes, challenging the status quo and thinking outside the box.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for the HRBP Team such as drug testing, agreement creation, presentation updates, scheduling training sessions, supporting the job evaluation process and others to be assigned.
  • Working collaboratively with the HRBP team to ensure that the team’s overall goals are met; this at times may mean working on additional projects in line with our team’s talent agenda.
  • Support recruiting team with the background check process

What you’ll bring to Axia :

  • Must have solid knowledge of best practices for employee relations, documentation, progressive discipline and coaching managers through various ER issues.
  • Highly adaptive / flexible change champion who can empathize in high change, high growth environments and able to develop support models to optimize change initiatives.
  • Critical thinker who can identify process improvement initiatives and creative solutions - can think outside of the box when working through business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills both oral and written.
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo in a professional, poised, and articulate manner.
  • Demonstrated history of exemplary ethics and integrity, including ability to handle and maintain the integrity of confidential information.
  • A passion to grow and develop their career as a HR business partner

What we’re looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; with at least 3 years’ relevant employee relations experience, ideally focused employee relations, employment law, or HR Business Partner experiences;
  • Designations such as PHR, SHRM-CP preferred
