Overview
Axient is currently seeking an ICBM CTF Electrical Engineering Test & Evaluation Engineer to support our customer in Hill AFB, Utah.
Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support to the AF Arnold Engineering Development Complex 719 Test Squadron, 804 Test Group ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) in development test and evaluation (T&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center strategic missile systems (Minuteman III and Sentinel).
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
- Support developmental test & evaluation oversight of electrical systems including electronics, computer and electrical components to assess performance against stated program requirements.
- Coordinate with the program office and contractor to develop, review, and implement test plans for all levels of hardware assemblies and software builds.
- Observe designated testing, perform independent assessment and analysis of technical data, and test results using knowledge of the requirements and traceable performance parameters.
- Review technical data to ensure compliance with system requirements and author a variety of products detailing independent assessment.
- Contribute to understanding CTF Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) capabilities and assessment to aid AFNWC in owning the technical baseline for GBSD through use of high fidelity system models and digital engineering.
- Apply technical knowledge in specific areas to integrate test and modeling products and support weapon system evaluation related to areas of expertise.
- Lead and mentor junior team members as assigned.
- Maintain cognizance of all assigned CTF/Test Team engineering activities.
- Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.
- Support periodic reviews of test support and systems integration test results and test plan status. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.
- Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.
- Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.
Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the required level. An active and transferrable DoD security clearance with active investigation is highly desirable.
- A Master’s degree in related field and at least 10 years of experience required, some of which includes test and evaluation. Eight years’ experience with a BS degree can substitute for an MS. A Master’s degree is highly desired.
- Experience in working with AFNWC organizations, designated test organizations and/or prime contractors is highly desired.
- Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.

- Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.
- Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is highly desired.
- Familiarity with ground and flight test conduct, data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of ground and flight test programs is highly desired
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
