Overview
Axient is seeking a ICBM CTF Flight Test Data Analyst to support our customer in Vanderberg, CA.
Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Advocate and participate in the developmental test & evaluation planning and oversight at VSFB for flight testing to assess performance against stated program requirements.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
- Work with CTF Flight Test Lead in planning, collecting, analyzing, and transfer of test data and work closely with VSFB personnel to ensure resources are allocated for successful tests.
- In coordination with the program office and prime contractor develop, review, and execute data analysis plans for all areas relating to VSFB flight testing.
- Determine telemetry processing needs and tools required to fulfil data analysis plans.
- Develop telemetry data analysis tools as necessary.
- Support use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) applications and agile techniques in T&E of the weapon system.
- Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, technical and safety review boards (TRB/SRBs), test readiness reviews (TRRs), and test assessment reports
- Support integration and advancement of government assessment tools through advocacy for technical approaches and development of specific tools to enable assessment.
- Provide analysis for independent assessments of contractor test results
- Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems.
- Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate.
- Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.
- Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Must have or be able to obtain a DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
- A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in related fields.
- Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of flight test telemetry data systems and formats.
- Demonstrated record of experience and accomplishments that are exceptional and/or unique.
- Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
- Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- ACTIVE and transferrable DoD TOP SECRET security clearance highly desired
- Knowledge of Vandenberg range requirements (Range Safety, 576 FLTS, Frequency clearance, etc).
- Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing.
- Familiarity with flight test data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of flight test programs.
- Familiarity with analyzing GPS and telemetry data requirements for missile performance accuracy.
- Experience with on-board test equipment instrumentation, data acquisition, and data processing.
- Previous work experience in a Lead Developmental Test and Evaluation Organization (LDTO) or Operational Test Organization (OTO) environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor of Science degree in applicable discipline
- Associates degree in applicable discipline with four years direct work experience OR six years direct experience
DESIRED EDUCATION:
- Master of Science degree in applicable discipline
