Overview:
Axient is seeking a Junior Facility Specialist to support our customer in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with various departments responsible for construction efforts, maintenance, and operations of facilities and infrastructure at specified locations.
- Monitor work to provide accurate reporting and assurance that the customer receives the specified outcomes.
- Constitute all facility projects involving design and construction planning in accordance with funding and mission support timing.
- Manage design/build projects as needed to meet demanding customer requirements on time and within budget. Collaborate with stakeholders and other agencies.
- Coordinate related project activities that affect successful completion of project efforts.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and be responsible for the accuracy of the project data for the entire duration of the project.
Requirements:
- Must currently possess and maintain an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with active investigation.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- 4 years of relevant experience preferably in a facilities/construction environment.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of planning and guiding complex technical work.
- Must possess the following skills: verbal and written communication, customer service and detail-oriented, adaptable, accountable, and resilient.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience leading a team or coordinating project efforts.
- Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: building systems, local and national codes, drawing review proficiency, construction technology/management, emergency management
- Life-cycle maintenance of installations, facilities – design and construction
- Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint experience
Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols
