Overview
Axient is currently looking for a Software Analyst to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
Will be involved in performing manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for its purpose. Some of the duties include analysis of software, and systems, prevention of software issues, writing test procedures, and performing data entry. In addition, the duties include up to 30% travel to perform operation of the software and data entry enabling live situational awareness during live testing of various customer systems.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Analyzing use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- Understand and follow test plans and test procedures
- Independently setup test environments and network configurations
- Write and execute manual test cases
- Perform all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Provide detailed documentation and evidence of test results
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
- Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product life-cycle
- Perform software operation and data entry
- Collaborate closely with other team members
- Provide weekly status reports.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level or must be able to maintain the required clearance
- Must have excellent listening skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be willing to travel to remote CONUS DoD test ranges to support test events.
- Ability to travel up to 30% with a home office at Axient
- BS degree in relevant field
- SW Test experience
- Experience in documenting requirements and specifications
- Proficiency in engineering tools: Primarily Jira
