Axient is looking for an Web Administrator / Cartographer to support our customer, the 96 Civil Engineering Group at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida 32542. **US Citizenship and Secret Security Clearance Required**
The 96 Civil Engineering Group is comprised of multiple departments and is solely responsible for the 96 Test Wing’s real property on Eglin AFB, and its many surrounding military locations.

What You Will Do...
- Create, design, and manage the Eglin GeoIntegration Office’s Viewer application in accordance with Government approved schedule.
- Install tools to create web content and check consistency and develop/enforce the command guidelines.
- Collect and define user requirements, designs technical site plans, test plans, database use, layouts, navigation and other technical specifications.
- Develop improved website functionality, features, navigation, user interface, back-end connectivity, access, security and change management utilizing specified web development tools.
- Conduct research for web design and development, to include tools and technologies, supporting upgrade recommendations.
- Manage information for the Eglin Common Installation Picture (CIP) geospatial data set.
- Perform GIS analysis such as source assessment, geopositioning, data extraction and capture, and product generation.
- Develop digital databases, data analysis, and the creation of usable spatial data products, maps, and reports.
- Provide assistance with the day-to-day management of the GIS hardware and software to help minimize system down-time.
- Perform complex phases of compilation work in the construction, revision and maintenance of GIS data.
- Assemble and review of available data pertinent to the Eglin mission and base operating support to include published topographic data, county, state, and national geospatial data, aerial photographs and mosaics.
- Coordinate with data stewards to ensure that the features comprising the CIP are current and accurate, both graphically and in regards to the attribution.
- Provide assistance to the Oracle database administrator with data quality assurance tasks for all features in the Eglin Enterprise Spatial Database.
- Coordinate with customers to develop GIS standards and requirements for all types of projects and prepare project requirements for geospatial data management efforts, providing technical details and the outlines for the general scopes of work.
- Perform occasional, informal, and formal classroom training to operational and support organizations to make them aware of available tools and techniques that allow them to retrieve, analyze, manipulate, and present their geospatial data efficiently and effectively.
- Bachelor’s with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant field. Substitution of experience for education will be considered with government approval.
- Be proficient in Microsoft office products to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and have knowledge in AF directives and procedures.
- Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
- Must have ability to quickly understand the customer’s overall objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capability.
