General Responsibilities

The SVP, Asset Based Lending Officer will be responsible for developing relationships with referral sources and prospective clients to originate and structure loans. S/he will be responsible for facilitating growth initiatives and self-generating leads that will convert in to closed business deals.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Foster relationships via meeting, phone calls, and networking events with referral networks focusing on clients that have a need for asset based lending (ABL).
• Meet with and call on prospective clients.
• Negotiate transactions with clients on highly complex legal matters.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify opportunities that may be suited for other lines of business.
• Propose financing structures for clients and underwriting review.
• Assist in gathering information for the underwriting process.
• Add value to clients and prospects by propose other service solutions provided by referral partners
• Help with reviewing existing client requests for line changes and amendments on clients originated, depending on client or request.

Working Conditions

• This position is performed in a regular office work environment. Must be able to work independently from remote locations and within the office environment, as well as travel to client sites. This is a full-time position. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday and work will mainly be performed at the assigned location. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Flexibility with work location and hours may be granted if circumstances permit.

Qualifications Summary

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience

Experience

• 5 years of experience in ABL
• In-depth level of commercial credit/portfolio management knowledge
• Proven production in ABL previous roles
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Knowledge & Skills:

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and to act independently
• Strong sense of urgency
• Exceptional multi-tasking capabilities
• Excellent follow-through skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Intermediate overall level of computer skills
• Positive attitude and chemistry in working with others
• Demonstrate a readiness to assist
