QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with operation of survey instruments including total station, digital level, GPS, 3D laser scanner and data collectors.
- Must have effective time management skills.
- Must be familiar with concrete footings and walls.
- Must be able to use the tremble system.
- Large project survey skills and experience.
- 3-5 years concrete/construction experience.
- 2-3 years total station experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for layout (surveying work). Must provide and maintain horizontal and vertical survey control by use of a level, GPS, total station, etc., including organized documentation of survey notes.
- Checks concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including embedded items, block outs, elevation, pour width, etc.
- Assists the Foreman and Subcontractors with interpretation of plans and specifications.
- Works closely with the Superintendent to avoid duplication of effort, as well as to report individual progress and activities so they can continually evaluate and be corrected if necessary.
- Cooperates with quality control, safety program and coordination of subcontractors as delegated by the Superintendent.
- Verify materials delivered to the job for quantity, quality, condition and check for missing and/or damaged materials/items.
- Prepare field notes, sketches and photos.
FULL DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Total Station Operator to work on high volume commercial projects. Responsible for project layout, lift drawings, cooperating with project safety and quality control. Reports directly to the Superintendents and provides support to the Superintendents, Project Managers, Operations Manager and the Project Engineer. The majority of the work time will be spent in the field but field office time will also be required at our South Weber, UT office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
