SUMMARY: This role is in Axiom’s space suit development department. The department’s primary responsibility is developing the next generation Space Suit for commercial space. The role will be located onsite at the Axiom Space Headquarters in Houston, TX.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The EVA Program SE&I Manager will work with all subsystem teams to lead the SE&I process to define hardware/system requirements and develop operational concepts, interface control documents, verification and validation plans, and other documentation. Lead and assist the SE&I team by setting goals, organizing, and delivering products through collaborative efforts. Gather business requirements and work with product owners to translate them to technical requirements. Work with the teams to define verification and validation approaches and create required documentation. Work with all levels of internal and external management, our internal and external customers to deliver project status’s and out-briefs.

Education & Experience
• BS Degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or related field required
• 15 years’ experience in SE&I (with a preference for work in support of space missions)
• Experience with defining aerospace hardware design requirements and associated software to publish hardware requirements
• Experience with leading multi-discipline SE&I teams

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

Physical Requirements
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
