- Location Details: This job is in Austin, TX. * You must be able to work onsite in our Austin, TX facility.
As the Network Lab Supervisor for our growing customer base, you will:
· Supervise the network test lab and product configuration process
· Lead the team in basic and advanced troubleshooting and configurations of optical components such as transceivers, active optical cables, NICs, and other networking components
· Lead the Axiom response to customer evaluations and qualifications of company products
· Collaborate with Sales on RFP responses and large customer engagements
· Ensure the team has a solid and repeatable process for technical evaluations of hardware equipment and software
· Troubleshoot lab’s response to product quality issues
· Lead internal qualification process for new products and vendors
· Work with vendors and product management teams to ensure compliance on environmental certifications
Requirements:
· Familiarity with Network switches (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.) is required
· 5 years of experience running or working in a lab and/or production environment. 1-3 years of supervisory experience
· Experience in working with computer network hardware, especially optical transceivers for use in Telco/Cable networks and/or data centers
- Lab supervisor experience – understanding lab infrastructure and designs
- A person who enjoys working in a datacenter and/or production environment, both as a leader, and team contributor
- Troubleshooting ability, takes ownership of their work, continually strives for excellence
- Strong attention to detail and love of process improvement
- Good written and oral communication and comfort in front of customers, interacting with senior sales teams, and acting as an industry spokesperson
DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
· Engineering or other technical degree from a university
· Direct experience running a lab
· Switch network engineer certifications
Compensation: Salary starting at $114k per year, depending on experience.
