SUMMARY
The Actuarial Pricing department is responsible for developing consistent and market-leading pricing practices within the AXIS Insurance segment and is accountable for Technical Price Modelling, Product Monitoring, Profitability Studies, New Business Due Diligence, Business Planning, and Price Monitoring to support the underwriting teams.
As a member of the actuarial team supporting the North American Professional Lines business units (subject premium $500m ), this individual will directly contribute toward advancing the pricing and analytical capabilities of the Professional Lines practice.
He / she will engage proactively with the underwriting and actuarial management teams to design and maintain models that improve risk selection, pricing sophistication, and portfolio mix.
This individual will be a contributor to the wider Global Professional Lines pricing practice and will be embedded with supporting the underwriting functions for the business units.
He / she will proactively engage with Reserving, Risk Management, Finance, Claims, and Data & Analytics colleagues to achieve desired business outcomes and implement business strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical pricing of individual risks
Direct capture of rate and exposure changes from prior terms
Production of pricing loss ratios by class
Assessment of individual risk rate adequacy
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience :
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $123-160K (NY) preferred location is NY, but other locations will be considered .
The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location.
