Summary
Our Marketing and Communications team serves as a strategic partner to the business, working with stakeholders to support external marketing and communications alongside internal communications/employee engagement on a global scale.
We are seeking an individual to support marketing and communications initiatives and projects across all business lines at AXIS, with responsibilities weighted significantly toward external efforts including traditional media, social media, email marketing and market-facing message development.
Responsibilities
The candidate will play a key role in advancing a range of global, integrated marketing and communications initiatives that support business objectives. This will include some or all the following activities:
* Corporate Marketing & Communications
o Write and/or edit a range of external and internal marketing and communications materials, such as articles, announcements, press releases, interviews and bylines, social media posts, and award submissions with cross-department and cross-geography teams.
o Research, track and assess relevant speaking, industry event, awards, and press opportunities; assist with executive briefings.
o Manage record-keeping of AXIS marketing materials and assets in market.
o Write, proof, and coordinate internal communication ahead of each external marketing campaign.
o Contribute to overall corporate marketing and communications strategy development and planning.
o Contribute to marketing and communications measurement program: via quarterly measurement report, track effectiveness of initiatives, present results and identify actionable insights.
o Research marketing and communications best practices and peer analyses and report regularly
* Social Media
o Write, proofread, and publish content to AXIS social media channels (LinkedIn and Twitter).
o Manage social media calendar across Marketing and Communication team.
o Track effectiveness and identify insights to help optimize the performance and engagement of social media content and pages.
o Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team members to continually enhance the implementation of the company's social media strategy.
o Actively monitor AXIS social media channels and competitor landscape.
o Support internal social media training programs for colleagues.
* Media Relations
o Contribute to media relations strategy development, planning and execution.
o Collaborate with agency partners to secure relevant proactive and reactive media opportunities in support of business priorities.
o Develop and maintain media lists.
o Research and assess media inquiries and proactively pitch reporters.
o Help proactively and reactively assess media opportunities
o Research and develop media talking points.
o Actively monitor traditional media and industry press landscape for coverage and stories related to AXIS.
o Compile media coverage reports.
* Marketing
o Create, schedule, and track first-party marketing emails and maintain audience database.
o Create and design marketing materials and assets in alignment with the AXIS brand guidelines and leveraging available tools.
o Help coordinate global and business segment/functional internal and external events
o Create performance reports for marketing emails and present learnings to relevant internal stakeholders.
o Project manage website content updates and branding initiatives.
Qualifications
* Successfully performed many of the responsibilities listed above during past corporate communications and/or brand marketing experiences including internships
* Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, journalism, related fields or equivalent job experience
* Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset
* The ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, be flexible and manage multiple projects
* A self-starter with high personal integrity
* Experience in the (re)insurance/financial sectors and/or business acumen a plus
* Interest and desire to lead
Salary Range:
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $55K to $65K. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location.
In addition, all employees are eligible for competitive incentive targets, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
