To help us drive excellence, as a Materials Supervisor you’ll get to:
- Support the Company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in the performance of daily activities.
- Coordinate all shipping functions, ensuring documentation contains all required information for timely delivery.
- Contact customers, truck lines and outside vendors for scheduling and expediting shipments and or deliveries.
- Ensure all paperwork is properly entered and filed.
- Process QAD shipments and customer orders.
- Process shippers and send ASNs as required.
- Receive incoming goods ensuring three-way match between purchase order, supplier invoice/packing slip and physical goods received.
- Assist with pulling customer orders, tag parts, scan orders, and operate scale.
- Assist with all department duties; loads and unloads trucks in the Materials Dept., and serves as back-up to Crib and Shipping/Receiving Hilo Drivers
- Understanding of label processes for inbound/outbound materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
This full-time role is a part of our Materials Department and reports to the Materials Manager
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises associates within shipping/materials department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn and efficiently navigate corporate ERP computer systems. (i.e. MQ1, QAD, SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply the language in the IATF-16949 and ISO-9001 quality standards.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T)
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
