Responsibilities.
-Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, use test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges.
-Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
-Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
-Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
-Inspect parts for surface defects.
-Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.
-Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
-Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures.
-Repair, rework, or calibrate hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies or systems to meet operational specifications or tolerances.
-Program PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Allen Bradley Marks (control logic / SLC 500) as well as Siemens (type S5/S7) · Program DC Drives and inverters. (Reliance Flex Pack 3000, Allen Bradley Power Flex, Siemens, and ABB). · Program Servo Drives. · Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications.
-High School Diploma, OR Equivalency Certificate, (GED (General Education Degree), etc.)
-Trade School or Industrial Apprenticeship in Electric or Electronic Trades.
-At least five (5) years’ experience as a journeyman electrician or electronic technician.
-There may be exposure to adverse weather conditions, extreme cold and heat, handling hazardous chemicals, unpleasant odors, dirt, and dust.
-The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
-The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration.
-Ability to operate an industrial system computer
-Reasonable knowledge in hand-held measuring devices, micrometers, measuring tapes
-Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.
As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electronic equipment. You will utilize your skills in equipment repair, voltage systems, hand tools, field service, computer hardware, mechanical knowledge, computer networking, schematics, and service technician duties. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues accurately. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that electronic devices are functioning properly.
