What are the responsibilities and job description for the SOAR - Program Analyst position at Axle Informatics?
Overall summary:
- The position is for an Institutional Administrator for Graduate Medical Education (GME) Programs at the NIH Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Institutional Administrator reports to the Executive Director, Graduate Medical Education/Designated Institutional Official for Accreditation, to ensure the effective operations of established GME programs and to maintain the accreditation status of the GME enterprise at the NIH.
- Work products and documents related to performing managerial and administrative functions in support of the NIH Graduate Medical Education Program - Daily
- Work products and documents related to support of the NIH Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) including minutes of Graduate Medical Education Committee and sub-committee meetings - Monthly
- Written communications with training Program Directors and Coordinators, including notifications of required activities necessary to maintain accreditation of individual training programs, as well as the NIH Clinical Center, which serves as the Sponsoring Institution for graduate medical education training activities at the NIH. - Ad-Hoc
- Work products and required institutional GME documents, including inter-institutional training agreements, Program Letters of Agreement, and internal NIH Graduate Medical Education policies and procedures - Ad-Hoc
- Internal surveys designed to ascertain status of graduate medical education training program effectiveness and sponsoring institution oversight of the clinical training and work environment. - Yearly
- Provide Technical knowledge and support in developing and evaluating the fellowship program, establishing process and procedures and maintaining files.
- Prepare program brochures, websites, applications, orientation documents and regulatory submissions
- Produces various detailed reports for use by upper management.
- Write, edit, and prepare for submission reports required to maintain accreditation of the Program
- Prepare correspondence, reports and other written material
- Evaluate, develop, and implement the fellowship program, including the maintenance of files and documents; assess process and procedures and recommend improvements where needed.
- Perform analysis of existing program databases; plan modifications of such databases; analyze and present selected program data to program staff and teaching faculty
- Research resources, services, policies and regulations and inform the staff and fellows about all changes in policies and procedures impacting fellowship training and education within the specialty
- Coordinate all interactions regarding compliance with the external organizations that accredit and regulate clinical training and specialty subspecialty certification 1
- Analyze, develops and implements new recruiting processes and a variety of training programs. 3
- Collaborate with staff to create and post, information on the Twitter account for fellowship program
- Develops and implements new recruiting processes.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the program to ensure it is meeting the organization's overall objectives.
- Maintain program statistics monitoring
- Ensure that affiliate institutions make required changes in policies and procedures to remain in compliance with training programs regulations and its educational goals and objectives 3
- Maintain the on-line institutional GME information and data management system
- Work to review GME training program compliance with specialty specific and institutional accreditation requirements 2
- Promotes fellowship program to educational institutions, universities and candidates.
- Manage interactions with outside institutions where the residents or fellows receive additional clinical training and, reciprocally, that supply fellows to the RFP for research-focused training 4
- Answer questions from outside organizations which impact on continued accreditation and recruitment of fellows to the NIH; prioritize responses to communications
- Conducts meetings and trains staff on various aspects of the fellowship program.
- Work with staff on planning, organizing and executing meetings, conferences and teleconferences
- Work with staff to facilitate, coordinate and attend regularly occurring training events
- Organize and support all Graduate Medical Education Committee GMEC and GMEC Subcommittee Meetings 5
- Prepare all minutes and other required documents serving as records and action plans resulting from GMEC-related meetings
Additional Qualifications:
- Education Qualification: Bachelors
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the biological sciences
- Certification of Training Administrators in Graduate Medical Education preferred
