The Role
The Director of UI, Product Design will lead the UI team and build products that resonates with millions of fans and provides the best experience for our clients and venues. With the Product Design Director, the Director of UI, Product Design will guide designers to efficiently deliver industry leading creative by keeping up on latest design trends, ensure the creative team executes the vision and meets deadlines.
What You'll Do
- Work with the entire design team to establish a unified aesthetic across all products and championing design systems.
- Review, provide feedback, and approve designs, artwork, photography, video, audio and graphics
- Present or oversee presentation of final design concepts and coordinate production and implementation with engineering teams.
- Keeping up with design and industry trends to ensure product quality and delivering cutting edge solutions.
- Ensure designs and content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and company ideals
- Develop guidelines and best practices for creative assets and production
- Work closely Creative Director to understand their vision for the project and translate that into requirements for the various art disciplines
- Help Creative Director align with stakeholders and provide context in communication to the designers
- Partner with product owners and project managers to form plans for design team
What We Hope You'll Bring
- 4-8 years of experience in related experience
- Strong experience designing cross-channel, fan- and client-facing products at global and enterprise-scale.
- Strong track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on time and on budget
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities and systematic or strategic approach to cross-platform product design.
- Experience mentoring and coaching well performing teams
- Must be able to communicate effectively both up and down a creative organization.
- Must be able to articulate ideas in a clear manner, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent design, layout, and typography skills across a broad range of projects
- Ability to deliver on-strategy ideas which are forward-thinking and meet the objectives of the brief
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to think critically, to collaborate and to present ideas to senior stakeholders, clients, team members, product managers, and engineers
- Understanding of capabilities and limitations of technologies that are used to create powerful user experiences.
- Understanding of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies and the know how to deploy them at relevant contexts;
- A strong understanding of best/tried patterns and current trends in UI practices
Pay scale: $137,191-$187,079
