The Role
AXS is seeking an Expense Analyst to join our team in Downtown Los Angeles. The Analyst will support the Expense side of the business and reports to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. Responsibilities will include monthly close, forecasting, planning and other ad hoc task to support the FP&A team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is analytical, detail oriented, self-starter, highly motivated, and possess strong Excel skills.
What You’ll Do
- Review large amount of data and provide assistance with variance analysis
- Assist with monthly close, which may include journal entry preparation and review
- Assist with monthly expense analysis and assist with variance explanations
- Review expense coding for accuracy
- Review expense items to reforecast
- Participate in monthly management P&L review meetings
- Work closely with Accounting team to ensure accurate monthly close
- Assist with ad hoc request and other duties as needed
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field of study
- 2-4 years’ experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and/or accounting
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling functions
- Oracle & Hubble experience plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Detailed oriented, outside the box thinker
- Passionate about learning, strong work ethic
