Emergency Room RN- Bonus Opportunity Available
Work Hours/Shift:
All shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays
Emergency Room RN Will Be Responsible For:
• Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborates with the ED physician and executes prescribed treatments within the scope of nursing practice.
• Coordinate activities and assures availability of supplies and equipment for safe and efficient care.
• Conducts primary assessments interviews using appropriate protocol.
• Complete description of the chief complaint.
• Administers routine and special medications following policy and standards.
• Performs other ED procedures according to established policies, procedures and standards.
Emergency Room RN Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of West Virginia; current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); successful completion of cardiac rhythm interpretation course or equivalent examination. Prefer certification as trauma nurse specialist (T.N.S.); prefer certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS); encourage certification in emergency nursing (CEN).
Prefer one year through three years of clinical nursing experience; prefer experience in an emergency department or critical care.
