This is a temporary assignment to address staffing shortages in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life, conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures, and perform surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life
- Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures
- Perform surgical procedures, such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of women's health conditions
- Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients
- Stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Iowa
- At least one year of experience providing obstetric and gynecological care in a clinical or hospital setting
