Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN works under direct supervision of the Director of Nursing using the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, Practice Guidelines, and nursing judgment.
Responsibilities & Duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
· Delivering quality nursing care to residents
· Ensuring patients medical needs are being addressed
· Collecting patient data and making observations
· Reporting pertinent information to the care of patients
· Ensuring patient receives appropriate care based on diagnosis and treatment plans
· Documenting and reporting observations of patient behavior, complaints, physical symptoms, or change in condition
· Direct and supervise other nursing staff members as needed
Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
· Ideal candidate must be a caring and compassionate individual dedicated to providing high quality of care to residents
· Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in – OH
· Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
· Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
