What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at AZ Cyber Security Solutions?
We are currently seeking a Business Analyst with Security knowledge to provide support to the NIH OCIO Cyber Security Support Services contract located in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as liaison between customers and technical teams.
- Elicit, compile, analyze, categorize and prioritize end-user requirements and translate them into tasks and/or user stories as required.
- Work with Project manager(s) to validate the requirements and group requirements to different applicable projects.
- Work with the PM/Scrum Master to ensure all user stories are aligned in the backlog to be applied to appropriate sprints and completed as assigned (as applicable).
- Assist Stakeholders/customers to craft and modify requirements and coordinate in documenting action items, decisions, issues and risks during meetings.
- Participate in unit and functional testing from a requirements validation as required.
- Understand and assist in producing technical designs and specifications as they are related to technical areas.
- Analyze and document technical definitions and produce a data dictionary across several related programs. The analyst must have the ability to identify and add critical clarifying information.
- Interface with multiple team leads as appropriate.
- Conduct training on requirements crafting, analytical practices, etc. as applicable.
- Effectively communicate with external clients, subject matter experts, and teammates.
- Develop processes and procedures as directed by project manager and Task Order Manager.
- Support documenting of undocumented systems/application.
- Support configuration and quality assurance plans.
- Support policy development.
Requirements:
· US Citizen
· Bachelor’s degree – or 3-5 years of relevant experience
o Bachelor’s degree must be in Business Administration, computer science, management information systems or related discipline
o Relevant experience must be 3-5 years of experience with technology implementation/integration; software development or information processing.
- Experience with IT networking, datacenters and/or cybersecurity
- Experience with eliciting, compiling, analyzing, categorizing and prioritizing end-user requirements and translating them into actionable items (Tasks Users Stories, etc.)
- The analyst must be able to draw upon their own experience to plan and accomplish goals.
- Experience with requirements gathering and management systems (Jira is a plus)
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Visio.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLCs would be a plus.
· Ability to understand and address complex problems and systems.
· Friendly, customer facing with excellent good written and verbal communication skills.
