Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sterilizing, cleaning, assembling, and distributing medical supplies and equipment in a hospital or clinical setting.
Duties:
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using autoclaves and other devices
- Assemble instrument trays following established count sheets
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and proper function
- Ensure compliance with sterilization standards and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities
- Assist in inventory management of sterile supplies
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterile processing procedures
- Certification in Sterile Processing preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
